Hi there one and all, MeeKee here!

So, Christmas is almost here, a time when we will stop awhile and take stock of the year, surround ourselves by friends and family and remind ourselves of the things that are really important in life.

These timeless sentiments can be addressed to all areas of life (anyone hoping for a little Chanel No.5 in their stocking knows that). So, this week, I would love to share some unconventional beauty advice - in the form of the beautiful and inspiring poem, 'Time Tested Beauty Tips'. It was written by Sam Levenson, but famously quoted by Audrey Hepburn, possibly the most timeless of style icons, when she was asked the secret of her beauty.

Ever since her rise to stardom in the 1950s, Hepburn's classic and seemingly effortless beauty has been treasured and imitated, but never bettered. So maybe the secret is to be true to ourselves. I believe beauty comes from within and overflows to the outside. True beauty is in all of us, it is not something you can pretend or something you can cover up with make-up or clothing. Sincere love and kindness blossoms and last forever.

So guys, here are Levenson's wonderful words, written for for Grandchild. You may have read it before, but it is worth re-reading and reminding ourselves so we can learn and grow as truly beautiful people.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone.

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; Never throw out anybody.

Remember, If you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!"
